Research Engineer
A challenging role for highly motivated and capable individuals who are passionate about managing various projects for biomedical start-up companies. If you are enthusiastic about taking a lead role in the commercialization of medical devices, you are more than welcome to apply for this position.
You must have strong leadership skills and be able to manage and lead a team to achieve the project objectives. You should be a self-driven individual who: has technical ability, works systematically, is detail-oriented, has excellent problem solving skills and a positive attitude. Full commitment is required and must be able to work long hours. Applicants should preferably be Singapore citizens or hold relevant residence status.
There are currently two available research engineering positions:
Research Engineer - Mechanical
Responsibilities
-
Lead project team in mechanical design of devices.

Direct accountability in managing individual efficiency and on schedule completion of work.

Lead in a team setting and manage all functions of the team in order to accomplish tasks.

Work closely with Sales, Projects and Operations departments.
-
Adhere to design and process systems in accordance with ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 guidelines and to constantly monitor and upgrade our quality standards.
Requirements
-
PhD in Mechanical or Mechantronics Engineering.

Independent in design and defining technical specifications and requirements.

Good personality and willing to take challenges.

Display good teamwork and able to multi-task.

Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software (Solidworks and AutoCAD) and in various office tools.

Good command of written English and excellent interpersonal skills
-
Good understanding of engineering plastics and metals and their manufacturing techniques.

Experience in manufacturing and/or automation engineering preferable.

Research Engineer - Electrical
Responsibilities
-
Provide technical expertise within engineering community, with emphasis on best practices and processes.
-
Work with hardware development and embedded firmware teams to execute design verification testing.
-
Participate in planning and scheduling of development test and product sustaining activities.
-
Involve in process of design, schematic capture, layout, prototype bring-up, debug, integration, test and release of hardware systems.
-
Work with Manufacturer Operations and Field Support teams to achieve timely resolution on hardware design problems.
-
Engaging with remotely located ODM partners to manage hardware design issues and expectations for engineering process/procedures.
Requirements
-
PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
-
Experience in digital signal processing, signal communication / telecommunication, image processing and beam-forming technique will be an asset.

Familiar with real-time operating systems, and embedded systems.
-
Knowledgeable in Schematic and PCB Development Platform (Mentor Graphics, Cadence, Protell).

Familiar in Software Integrated Development Environments (Eclipse, Visual Studio, LabVIEW, MatLAB).
-
Knowledgeable in C/C++/MatLAB Programming Languages.

Basic understanding of DFM, DFT requirements and trade-offs.
